Pexels is a popular online platform that provides high quality, free stock photos and videos to young adults in the creative business. However, business change, which means that subscriptions are never far away.
Pexel's new subscription services will include thousands of images, videos, AND a text-to-image generator.
With so many choices, why not promote the wildest of these perks, the image generator, and combine it with the one thing all video creators know to be tree - "The wrong image makes a difference."

BRAINSTORMING

Before we start being building, we first need to find our blocks, no?

One of the things that makes Pexels stand out from other stock image sites is the authenticity. It is clear is day that the images were taken by human photographers, rather than a prompt. The imagery is natural, too, without filters or these weird edits the site thinks creates want.

This human element makes Pexels a true godsend because there is nothing worse than spending hours unediting images.

The human element and the annoyance with unediting, created the campaign's slogan and approach.

Thus, instead of using images that one would expect, why not drive the campaign message home by using the wrong images instead?

GUERILLA & MERCHANDISE

For guerilla marketing, I decided to create "Wish You Were Here" postcards, but with photos of places you really do NOT want to be. These posters were also used to create merchandise such as tote bags.

Both postcards and merchandise will be in limited amount and placed at locations where anyone is free to grab them.

DON'T FORGET THE OUT OF HOME!

Ah, the billboard. I decided to create a large-scale DOOH poster with the image of a fish head and human legs, as a sad excuse of a mermaid.

STUNT

Now, we all know stunts are needed to get anyone's attention these days.
But how do we make them viral?

How about 3D printing your imagination.

As a stunt, green boxes will be placed in public locations with with smoke, slime, and even blood, dripping out of them. Inside these containers will be 3D printers and computer screen connected to Pexel's website and their image generator - "Picasso."
So, create anything you imagine, print it, and take it home.

See, the thing with using images that do NOT work is that is can either work very well or end up a complete flop. To save the commercial from possible failure, I added a subtle story, abstract expressions of emotions, and made sure everything followed the beat of the music.
