Ever since I was a kid, my interests have mostly revolved around the arts and storytelling. As such, the extracurricular activities and competitions I took part in were cultural and "arty."
I learned singing, art, music, dancing, acting, and a couple of basic life skills during this time.

LEARNED
I decided to follow my love of stories - to the theatre. I soon realized that my love for stories leaned towards delivering the story rather than being part of it.
I learned scriptwriting, theatre studies, art philosophy, acting, analysis, and visual storytelling.

LEARNED
I decided to drop acting and create stories while I decided what to study next. I wrote, illustrated, and bound the books from scratch!
I learned creative writing, business management skills, and bookbinding and used this time to refine my art.

STUDIED GRAPHIC DESIGN AT RUTH PROWSE SCHOOL OF ART IN CAPE TOWN
LEARNED
I decided to study Graphic Design as it had everything I was interested in. Aside from Design, my other majors included DTP and Illustration.
I learned Design, Illustration, Fine Art basics, Photography basics, Art Direction Essentials, the entire Adobe Suite, and Web Design.

LEARNED
I found myself abroad for the first time and completely by myself.
I learned Mandarin, quick thinking, how to create lesson plans in 5 minutes, hustle, and adapt to new environments as fast as possible. I also learned how to find reasons behind cultural differences and how to live with restricted internet. I also paid attention to their entertainment preferences.

I followed the money and sunshine to Vietnam and ended up meeting some of the most amazing people you will ever meet.
I learned how to network and how to adapt courses to suit the individual needs of students. I also learned about their culture and history, as well as what sells and why.

Eventually, I made my way to Taiwan, the place where I had been wanting to teach at since the beginning. I worked at a very demanding private school and learned how to manage others, how to choreograph to music, how to train others, and how to explain ideas to minds that are all different.
